DJ-Catalog2 Joomla! extension allows you to segregate products in a thematic categories, assigning pictures and attachments to them and use it as a great simple, yet powerful directory.
Try out the new version of the popular component and discover many new features it provides.


DJ-Catalog2 component was programmed almost from scratch. All previously reported problems and bugs have been eliminated. It has many new additional features.

First read the notice!

Three steps to upgrade the extension:
  1. Install the patch file "com_djcatalog_upgrade_1.2_to_2.0.zip"
    Remember: Do not remove the old version of component.
  2. Delete folders:
    /administrator/components/com_djcatalog
    /components/com_djcatalog
    /modules/mod_djfrontpage
    /modules/mod_djcategories
    /modules/mod_djcatproducers
  3. Install component file "com_djcatalog.zip", after installing check all images and press "Recreate Thumbnails" in the back-end products view.
    The package contains also the Xmap Plugin but you have to install it manually from the Xmap component back-end.

Notice!

DJ-Catalog2 is NOT straight forward upgrade from DJ-Catalog!

As this extension is reprogrammed and most of the code was changed we have prepared the migration tool that'll help you to move the database with products and categories structure.

In most cases this upgrade will change the layout structure, overwrite your catalog settings (preferences) and translations.

Be aware that component/module views from DJ-Catalog 1.x are NOT compatible with the new ones, so if there are overidden layouts in your template you have to remove them or upgrade them on your own in order to avoid any problems with DJ-Catalog2. More info about template overriding.

Overridden layouts of DJ-Catalog 1.x (if there are any) are located in /templates/{your template}/html/ folder, for example:
