DJ-MediaTools 2.17.2 - Joomla slideshow and image gallery extension fully compatible with Joomla 4

The latest version (2.17.2) of DJ-MediaTools - the Joomla and gallery slideshow extension - brings full support for Joomla 4. That includes rewritten backend in line with Joomla 4 standards.

Import slides from DJ-ImageSlider

DJ-MediaTools allows importing all your categories and slides created in DJ-ImageSlider. Once imported the categories from DJ-ImageSlider will become Albums in DJ-MediaTools and items will be assigned respectively. The import works both in Joomla 3 and Joomla 4.

Installation on Joomla 4 and upgrade from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4

Download the latest version, 2.17.2, and you can easily install it on Joomla 4.

You can also upgrade from Joomla 3.10 to Joomla 4 with DJ-MediaTools installed, and all settings and slides you have already created will also migrate to the latest version. If you're doing the upgrade - remember to update DJ-MediaTools to the newest version, 2.17.2, first and then upgrade to Joomla 4.

Remember - upgrade to Joomla 4 is not a regular update - you HAVE to make a backup and store it in a safe place. First, be sure that all extensions and templates you use are compatible with Joomla 4 - you can learn more about the upgrading process from this article.
