Events

List of the events 

Events can be searched and filtered by state, category, city and date range. You can do some actions for many of the events at once by selecting them and choosing one of the action buttons: publish, unpublish, feature, unfeature or delete. Obviously, you can also edit or create a new event.


Event form

  1. Title - Enter the event's title
  2. Alias - The alias will be used in the SEF URL. Leave this blank and Joomla will fill in a default value from the title
  3. Event Category - select the event's category
  4. External Event URL - you can paste the event's external URL
  5. Price information - enter information about prices for participation
  6. Event short description - short event description is displayed on events' list
  7. Event description - event description is displayed in the event's details 

Media

  1. Video link - paste the whole link starting with https:// to video on YouTube.com or Vimeo.com. Video will be played in modal window.
  2. Upload multiple images - upload images to create event gallery and manage it easily with drag&drop ordering feature.

Location

  1. Online event - Yes/No
  2. Location name - enter the location name
  3. Address - enter the location address
  4. City - type the city or select it from the list
  5. Post code - type postcode
  6. Latitude - this field will be filled in when you select a point on the map or click "find" under the map, you can also fill in it manually
  7. Longitude - this field will be filled in when you select a point on the map or click "find" under the map, you can also fill in it manually
  8. Map zoom - set the map zoom level or just adjust it on the map and the field will be updated automatically  

Date and time of the event

  1. Start Date - set the start event date using the calendar
  2. Start Time - optionally set the start event time
  3. Use End Event Date - decide if you want to set end event date and time
  4. End Date - optionally set the end event date using the calendar
  5. End Time - optionally set the end event time
  6. Event Repetition - use this option if you are creating a recurring event 

Event Repetition

  1. Event Repetition - set the type of repetition
  2. Repeat Interval - set if the event takes place every (1) week/month/year or every second (2) or every third (3) week/month/year etc.
  3. Repeat Until - set how long the event will be repeated
  4. Weekly Repetition Type:
  5. The same day of the week for each week? - set if the recurring event takes place only once in a week on the same day of the week as the start event date
  6. Which day(s) of the week? - specify the days of the week when the event takes place
  7. Monthly Repetition Type:
  8. The same day of the month for each month? - set if the recurring event takes place only once in a month on the same day of the month as the start event data
  9. Which week(s) of the month? - specify the weeks of the month when the event takes place
  10. Which day(s) of the week? - specify the days of the week when the event takes place
  11. Include specific days - to include specific days type newline separated list of dates in format: YYYY-MM-DD
  12. Exclude specific days - to exclude specific days type newline separated list of dates in format: YYYY-MM-DD 

Event Publication Options

  1. Status - set the event status
  2. Featured - marked the event as a featured to promote it in the top of the events listing
  3. Created Date - The date of the event creation
  4. Created By - the user how created the event
  5. Event tags - comma-separated keywords matching the event description
