Once you've updated from version 2.0.2 to 2.1 please notice that the promotion and duration logic/mechanism changed.

In 2.0.2 version these settings were available in component options and now they changed their place to different tab in administrator panel of DJ-Classifieds.

It's a great improvement and you should check the new settings and set them to suit your needs.
