In DJ-Catalog2, it is possible to create so-called combinations. They are a kind of sub-products based on the main product, distinguished by a selected range of additional attributes (extra fields).
A combination is not a stand-alone product; it is not a child product (variant).
The combination is an item with an individual price, stock level, SKU code, and a set of field-value combinations of your choice.
To create combinations, you must first create an extra field that will allow you to distinguish one combination from another. You must set its "Cart variant" parameter to "Yes, in combinations". You can use the following field types for this purpose:
- radio
- checkbox
- select
- color (similar to radio)
- multiple colors (similar to checkbox)
- multi-select
After creating at least one such fireld (Cart variant), you can click on a tab called "Combinations", which is located at the right side of every products in DJ-Catalog2 product view. This is where you can manage existing combinations and create new ones
After clicking the "Combinations" tab, you'll be greeted with such view:
Click "New".
In the "EDIT" tab, you'll be presented with a set of attributes, which you can customise as desired.
In the "Extra Fields" tab, you must select fields you want to use for this combination.
In the "Images" tab, you can set a photos for this combination.
Only enabled fields will be used in your product combinations.
You can also use "Combination generator". Just select all extra fields you wish to have a combination for and click "Process".
