Once you install DJ-Catalog2, you'll notice the message: "You haven't published any menu item linking to root category in Categories (Items) view. It is highly advised to do so."
Basically, what you need to do is:
- create menu item linking to List of products view => "root" (see image below)
It's also recommended to get:
- nice sef urls
- flexibility in module assignment
- correct redirections when searching/using filters
