[UPDATE] DJ-Catalog2 4.0.6 Brings the Support for Products Bundle!
We've released DJ-Catalog2 extension ver. 4.0.6. The update brings the product bundle support and a few improvements.
The Product Bundle Feature
With this new feature, you can allow your customers to purchase a bundle of products and possibly offer them a discount on such a deal.

Creating a bundle is similar to creating a new product, where you specify the product type as a bundle. It causes additional controls to appear, allowing you to enter SKU numbers and quantities for each product to become a part of the bundle.
The component calculates prices automatically - in proportion to the price of the product in the bundle and the original price of each bundle element.

When an order is approved, the product in the bundle is replaced with the specific products included in the bundle so that invoices and inventory reflect the actual situation.
The Changelog
Please take a look at the complete list of implemented changes:
- (+) Added support for bundle products. The bundle is a special type of product that groups other products. A bundle product will remain as one product until it is purchased, and when that happens it will be replaced with actual products that are included, in the order summary.
- (!) Minor improvements in the User - DJ-Catalog2 plugin.
- (!) Fixed Google Maps loading script
- (!) Fixed missing icons of rating stars
- (!) Fixed SQL update script
DJ-Catalog2 ver. 3.10.6 for Joomla! 3
Along with the DJ-Catalog2 version 4.0.6 for Joomla 4, we've released the update for Joomla 3.
Version 3.10.6 brings similar changes but fewer improvements than the J4 version:
- (+) Added support for bundle products. The bundle is a special type of product that groups other products. A bundle product will remain as one product until it is purchased, and when that happens it will be replaced with actual products that are included, in the order summary.
- (!) Minor improvements in the User - DJ-Catalog2 plugin.
- (!) Fixed SQL update script
Installation on Joomla 4 and Upgrade from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4
If you're doing the upgrade to Joomla 4 - it's highly recommended to update DJ-Catalog2 to the newest version 3.10.5 first, and then upgrade to Joomla 4. DJ-Catalog2 3.10.5 is a version that allows a smooth update to Joomla 4.
We have prepared a video tutorial where you can check how this process works:
You should know that an upgrade to Joomla 4 is not a regular update - you HAVE to make a backup and store it in a safe place.
First, be sure that all extensions and templates you use are compatible with Joomla 4 - you can learn more about the upgrading process from this article.
